$50 per hour within estimate, & $30 per hour for time worked over my estimate. |
How hourly billing works: |
I give you an estimate.
"It'll take me 2 hours." We sign an agreement. You pay 50% of the estimate (PayPal). If it only takes me 1 hour and 14 minutes, I charge you for 1 hour and 14 minutes, not 2 hours, & not 1 hour and 15 minutes. If it takes 2 hours and 27 minutes, I'm 27 minutes over estimate. So, I round back to the 15 minute mark, and charge $7.50 per extra 15 minutes. You'd pay for 2 hours at $50, and an additional $7.50 for the extra fifteen minutes. (Moral of the story: I try not to screw up my estimates.) Fair? Yes. |
